This mature European ash (fraxinus excelsior) reduced in 2022 was completely overrun with ivy before work was begun.
The neighbouring Sycamore maples (acer pseudoplatanus) were also overgrown and blocking light from the surrounding gardens.

After severing a large volume of ivy, as well as removing 30% of the growth from both the mature ash and the neighbouring maples, the result it a far more pleasing look, adding more light and space to the surrounding gardens.

This cypress hedge (chamaecyparis lawsoniana) was reduced by a foot on the top and sides to achieve the desired tight finish.
